A Little Down Time....

What a week! And the one to follow will not get any better....

I have never been one to share all of my personal life on here, but I have shared enough that many of you know that I am married to an Army Man. Well, in this day and age, that means time spent over-seas, apart from family. Almost every military family has their turn (many more than once), and we are not unique. So my dear Soldier is getting ready to leave for a second time (this time for 15 months), In fact, he has been getting ready since we moved here to Upstate New York over the Holidays. The departure day is getting close and he will have the next few weeks off to spend with us...

And I am taking the next few weeks off to spend with him....

You'll probably see a post or two, and I will still be visiting all of my favorite blogs (if we were attached at the hip 24/7, we would probably kill each other-lol!) but I will not be painting and I think the Etsy shop will close down and re-open at the end of April....

I'm sure you all understand....

I hope you enjoy your precious time with your husband. I can't imagine what the two of you are going thru spending soooo long apart. I'm so sad we live in a war filled world. I hope your husband returns home safe and sound and sooner than expected.

Well, thank you all...as a military family, it is just something we deal with, as you all would if the one you love was a soldier. We are enjoying the wonderful family time and some truly gorgeous spring weather....can't really ask for much more....

A big Thank You and prayers. Having grown up in the Military and having family still serving I know just how difficult it is. Freedom is not free and we must keep everyone serving our country in our hearts and prayers. It is times like these that we remember what is most important in life and just how lucky we are.

Godspeed

Hey Steph,
It was good to see your comment on my bling post. I hope you've been enjoying your time with your hubby. I love your new banner and layout. I've been carrying on with your Monkey in the middle Mondays while you've been gone. I didn't use your "logo" 'cause I wasn't sure if that was ok with you and I didn't want to both you to ask. So whenever you get back in full swing you can let me know. I've been getting ready for an antique show at the end of this month and it has helped to keep me working on things. Blah, blah, blah. I sure do rattle on. Oh, well...thanks again.
